"A gift is pure when it is given from the heart to the right person at the right time and at the right place, and when we expect nothing in return." ~Bhagavad Gita
Gift-giving is hard -- I always want to give the perfect gift but this thought has stuck with me and I really believe the most important message appears at the end: that we expect nothing in return.
The gift itself probably doesn't matter, as long as it comes from the heart and with no strings attached. I love it. [the above pic made me smile -- that's Mark and I for sure!]

That is the funniest comic. You have a lot of funny comics in here. Great thoughts.
I needed to read this post. I always stress over finding the perfect gift. It was just a reminder of what gift giving and Christmas is about. Thank for posting this one. Merry Christmas!
I love that quote. Thanks for reminder. It really helps to put things into perspective. Happy Shopping!
My sis and I are on the same wave-length, huh? Down to the minute. Pretty funny.
The sad thing is, I would be stoked if Chris got me a vacuum this year! I can't believe my life has come to this point! :)
that picture is so funny and cute.
That picture cracked me up! And I lvoe that quote--it is right on, sister!
ha, ha! funny and true message.
I so am not the perfect gift giver! I stress every year. Hopefully I'll be super inspired this year.
You are right - gift giving is very hard! I often times have to tell myself that it is the thought that counts because I rarely find that perfect gift.
Love this quote. It is indeed the giving from the heart that is special and we need to remember that this Christmas especially.
Love the cartoon!!!
Hilarious--our first anniversary, Mike actually got me a dustpan. He's come a long way!
I love the quote!!! It is perfect and really gives you something to think about!!
I am one who doesn't mind the occasional practical gift. With the idea of receiving a gift from the heart I have asked for gifts of time this year, a chunk of time that we get to spend together. I hope I can think of something from the heart to give to everyone.
I always give myself a gift or two. Then I'm never disappointed Christmas morning :).
I'm with Aryn. I have been known to take matters into my own hands!
I love it! That's me, while I do enjoy a surprise or two...I'm not above making sure a few things get done ;)
i wish i knew what i wanted this year...i did finally send you one suggestion!
