Resolutions, Anyone?

"A man should never be ashamed to admit he has been in the wrong, which is but saying in other words, he is wiser today than he was yesterday." ~Alexander Pope

I happened upon this thought today and it struck a chord with me. I think I'm getting better at this as I get older, but it's still something to work on and I love the perspective given. I'm going to make sure it's on my list of things to improve on this next year.

Others? I want to do better with scripture study [not reading, study], put more effort into my Primary calling and develop more love and patience for all the children I associate with.

What about you? Any thoughts for 2009?

i love when a new year rolls around. gives us a chance to improve. although, i guess we shouldn't wait until a new year to change. but i like the freshness that comes with a new year.

Last year Mark decided not to drink any soda this year. One day left, and no soda yet! He had a work out resolution too, which he was sticking to until he broke his jaw. I'm thinking about scripture study and FHE. Both need some major improvement. Honestly I should consider being more patient with my kids and Mark maybe... ;)

I have so much stuff I want to work on! Mainly - stop my procrastinating with everything!! If I improve at all I'll be happy. Hope you have a wonderful New Year!

I like the resolution to be more patient. Robert (my husband) has tons of patience and can tune out the irritating sounds of the kids and tune into the sweetness, I'll work on that!

happy new year jan! my main resolution is to lose this horrible baby flab still left over from when i had cali. it won't go away!(and i wonder why. probably because i don't exercise barely. duh holly!) and my other top resolution is to do better with personal scripture study and prayer. we've done good with the family study/prayer, but i am such a slacker with the personal stuff!

I'm so bad, I never make NY resolutions. I guess because I don't like to set myself up for disappointment! I just generally try to identify and work on those things I need working on.

As for your resolutions, you're pretty near perfect already! And I think you should resolve to GAIN a few pounds as opposed to keeping them off, you tiny thing.

Resolutions sounds itimidating to me. So I think I'll resolve to do something small, that way I think my chances will be great to do it. Like no more cheeseburgers or ice cream after 10 p.m., something hard like that. OOOhhh, or get to bed before 11:30.:)
