"There come times when I have nothing more to tell God. If I were to continue to pray in words, I would have to repeat what I have already said. At such times it is wonderful to say to God, "May I be in Thy presence, Lord? I have nothing more to say to Thee, but I do love to be in Thy presence." ~O. Hallesby
I love the idea of being done with what I have to say in a prayer, but lingering just because I love to be in His presence. Because I do.
I'm going to try it.

I like this idea a lot! I always enjoy your thoughts! Thanks for sharing.
I love that idea. Now, if I could figure out a way to linger in the Lord's presence while there are lightsaber wars going on around me then I'll have the secret to happiness for sure! :)
I am going to strive for that type of serentity in my prayers...I said strive...
Love that quote! Thanks!
prayer is two-way communication between us and the lord. after we're done, we should, like you said, linger and listen to what he has to say to us. thanks for this reminder! :)
AHHHH! Love that! Ah, I totally love that. Sometimes I feel like that, (often actually) like I am sort of done but I don't want to quit. I love that!
What a cute thought! Love the corresponding picture too. How sweet it will be one day to be rid of all the pain in the earth. :)
What a peaceful thought. It makes me want to do a better job seeking those quiet times for prayers.
it's awesome...especially when it's quiet...which is not too often around these parts...
that's an awesome quote. great idea.
I really need that, and it's harder to do with young kids around because they've got to be out cold for it to happen! So it's getting up early or not falling asleep after they're in bed. Both challenges, but worth it.
Thanks Jan!
What lovely thoughts :)
it is sooo nice when you are able to take the time to just pause for a minute or so after prayer. i don't do it often enough! thanks for the reminder.
I am not a very good lingerer or listener, two things that I think are similar in outcome. I am trying to be better at both.
