Sunday

With Mark on the High Council at this point, I'm always on the alert for jokes about the 'Dry Council' and boring talks and this one made me laugh.

Notwithstanding the jokes about stake visitors and boring talks, though, church was wonderful yesterday. It was Ward Conference, so the building was teeming with Stake visitors and Mark even got to be in our ward for a change. The talks in Sacrament Meeting were great. Our Stake presidency will be released in a few weeks at Stake Conference, so their words were especially meaningful because we knew this was the last 'official' visit they would pay to our ward. There were some sweet, humble comments made and I loved hearing from them.

Primary too was wonderful. We had the Stake Primary presidency there and a member of the Stake Presidency came to talk with the children, who were so reverent and attentive. Miss Maya gave a [fabulous] talk and the spirit was so strong. I love our Primary children so much and couldn't have been prouder of them. I love it when others see what wonderful kids we have in our ward.

Really, I have nothing special to say except that yesterday was awesome.

Ask me what my favorite day is and it will always be Sunday.

LOVE that!! I am so glad to hear you had such a great day. I look forward to the day when I can enjoy sacrament instead of spending it walking the halls or breaking up fights.

I have a hard time beleiving mark could ever give a dry talk! I enjoyed mom's ward. It's been so long since we've visited a "real" ward! Quentin couldn't beleive how loud it was. We only have two babies in our ward, so it's silent, plus we have very few people in Sacrament. The talks were great, one of the brothers spoke in Spanish and had a translator, he was so dynamic and I could understand him, I was so glad to still know some spanish from my days on the border! I loved going to SS and RS too! I am enjoying my refugee life!

HAHA! That's really funny, most of those really are boring, and maybe one or two are year are truly riveting where I actually 1) listen and/or 2) pay attention! (and not fall asleep!) hehe! Love it!

Seriously, can I come live with you for awhile and let your happy and sweet attitude morph onto me? I need to be more like YOU!

I REALLY, REALLY miss your ward! If I could take any ward with me anywhere I moved, it would be our Austin ward hands down.

My Mark was just put on the high council a few weeks ago and gave his first talk a week ago. I have to say he did a great job and got a few chuckles at my expense. It was a chocolate topic so everyone related to it. So now if anyone comes up to me that I don't know and mentions chocolate I know what ward they are from. AND our SP is getting released in October too. We are sad, they are the best! They will be missed!!! I'm glad I was able to mingle with them a bit at Moronis Quest!

Can I tell you how much I wish I would've been there Sunday? Sitting through 3 hours of adult meetings at my mom's ward? Not so fun. I missed you guys and the kiddos so much!!! Also, my nephew gave a talk in his primary, so we went in to watch. They had HALF the kids we have in our primary and they weren't even close to as reverent. Our kids are the best!
