Finding Joy

Joy bursts in on our lives when we go about doing the good at hand and not trying to manipulate things and times to achieve joy.” (C.S. Lewis)

I believe this. Joy doesn't happen when we are looking for it -- it comes when we are trying to do good. Feeling congested and cranky [who, me? ha ha!], I need to find some joy. Clearly I need to do something good for someone else.

It's all about those little things.

Love the picture, love the quote, and you are ALWAYS doing good for others.

That is a very good quote. I might just have to steal it!

That is so very true! Whenever I am feeling grumpy I always ask myself, "When was the last time you helped someone?" It usually helps me to think about someone else--especially when I don't want to!

thinking of others is truly the best way to find happiness. when i'm focusing on myself too much, thats when i feel all crappy. when i'm focusing on what i can do for someone else, thats when i feel happy. hey crappy and happy rhymed. cool. i just wrote a poem!

Jan, you are always doing good for others...always! It's okay to be cranky, especially when you're not feeling well :)

I just have to tell you that last week I went to Time Out for Women, and the theme is "Joyful Life." I loved it. I love that no matter what trials we have, we can find joy through them and around them, especially if we focus on our relationships with our loved ones, and our Heavenly Father. BUT, you know all this, so sorry to preach :)! Jacque
