Another Gas Price Rant

Every time Mark fills up his car [and bear in mind he is not filling up a big car - -he drives a very small PT Cruiser] I get mad when I have to subtract the amount from the checking account. It just shouldn't cost $50 to fill up a tiny little car like his. It really shouldn't.

I'm sure that if I wanted to buy Premium, my oldest son Chris would be in the hands of the gas companies right now.

I am with you! It cost me $75 today to fill up my oh so cool mini-van. And that was from a quarter of a tank. It used to cost me about $50 from empty! It's killing us!

Chris just spent $68 filling up his ride! And, the worst part is, we can't turn in most of his gas receipts any longer because they've cut back on costs! Argh!

Makes me SO MAD!!!!!!!!! have you seen all these news stories about people just tinkering in their garages modifying their cars to be SUPER fuel efficient? hellooooo they really should be able to work something out for us, if joe blow can do it in his garage.

I've really tried to cut back and only fill up every other week. It's tough cause the kiddies always want to go to a park or something. I'm being FORCED to be more creative and stay home to entertain them. Ok. . .maybe forced is a strong word but I really have cut out unnecessary errands.

I think gas alone is going to cost me about 250 or so for the trip? It's about 70 each time I fill up lately... Gas is at $4.25 or so here... it's so killing my wallet. Somedays the Jeep just isn't worth it! (17mpg on a good day!)

I really, really hate it. We've gone back to not considering another car for a while, though we could use one!

yes, everywhere I go, I go in my big white whale. Mark keeps it tuned and humming, so it get's decent milage, but it still cost us $96 to fill up last time...*sigh* If only someone would make a fuel efficient vehicle for the average family of eight...

I love that! So true. Gas is completely ridiculous!

Just like everyone else - I hear ya!! It's getting overly ridiculous!!! I have a tiny car, as well, and it costs about the same to fill it up. It makes me more nauseous than being pregnant!!
