Dinner

I'm consistently amazed at how much I hate fixing dinner. Really, though, the actual fixing isn't my biggest problem {although it definitely is a problem!} -- mostly it's deciding what to fix that is my biggest problem.

To be fair to Mark, it's not his responsibility to fix dinner {he does go to work all day, every day!} -- but this little cartoon is a great illustration of how we both seem at dinner time. Mostly we'd rather eat nothing than have to fix something {anything!}.

Lame. We are lame.

No, you're not so lame. I think you feel like most of us feel.
I found a great solution for me and my family though. It's called E-meals.com
It's great because they do the dinner plans for you and even shop the sales and do the dinner plans around the sales. So in the end you spend what you normally would and you already know what you are gonna make, so when the kids (or husband) asks "What's for dinner?" I have an answer. I love it! They have dinner plans for all types of families such as a family of 6,4,2, and gluten-free and low fat, etc. Check it out! You'll love it!

If you are lame, then so am I. I eat the same 14 meals in different orders for variety. It makes the budgeting easy, the shopping simple, and the budget consistent. Some of my friends make fun of me, and one claims that "the way to a woman is through her stomach" but I eat what I like and when I don't feel like making anything, I buy something.

One of the things I really like about your blog is that you are yourself. Too many people play parts to appease people they don't like. Bravo to you for having the courage to be honest, even if honesty is LAME.

That was the best thing I have read in a long time. I HATE deciding what to make for dinner. And I agree, I would rather not eat than make something sometimes. Cereal is a staple in our dinner menu.

Love that! I am so the same way. I don't mind the cooking just knowing what to cook!

i feel this way every day lately! i usually don't mind cooking, but like you i have a hard time deciding WHAT to cook. but ever since i've been pregnant i don't want anything to do with food or the kitchen. dinner time at our house has suffered worse than ever!

not lame, normal!! i think almost everyone hates the task of trying to figure out what to make for dinner! the actual making it isn't so bad, just trying to come up with it! i started doing a weekly menu last year and its really helped me.
