Kudos to Whole Foods

Yesterday in our newspaper, there was an article about the fact that Whole Foods is discontinuing the use of disposable bags in their store. They have always been very forward-looking in many areas but I was even more impressed with what I read in this article. We have their flagship store here in Austin and it's an amazing place. I give them a lot of credit for doing their part in conserving our resources. Natalie has already gone that direction, carrying re-useable bags with her everywhere she goes.

I guess it's time for me to get on board too. Easier said than done, I think. But yay for Whole Foods!

I tell myself everyday I'm gonna buy reuseable bags. But alas I don't. I do recycle the plastic bags though.

Its an excellent idea, a very good investment. Half the time I'm taking a plastic bag there to re-use... the Target bags are big AND strong. Very excellent for recycling.

I'm pretty sure I would lose re-useable bags....but i think it's a good idea. I'm not as good at saving the environment as I probably should be....Lance keeps putting those compact flourescent lightbulbs everywhere, but I hate the color of them, so, I keep replacing them with the good 'ol incandescant...Al Gore would hate me...

I just bought a whole bunch of reusable bags at Trader Joes. I think they are fabulous. Love Whole Foods!

I've got some cool re-usable bags I got at Costco of all places. The people at Walmart think I'm some sort of freak, but the nice HEB people "get it".
