"If the Lord wanted to punish me, I can think of nothing that would hurt me more than to be denied the privilege of meeting with the members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints". (Marjorie Pay Hinckley)
I love this and as I look towards Sunday, and the opportunity to sit in Sacrament meeting with my ward, spend a couple of hours in Primary with my little ones, and then participate in choir with my friends there, I feel her comment deeply. It really is a privilege to have these opportunities every week -- and that is even without mentioning the blessing of partaking of the Sacrament. What gifts we have been given and how grateful I am.
Have a wonderful Sunday, everyone!

I am really looking forward to church tomorrow too. I hope you have a great Sunday as well!
That's probably why I felt I had to go back to church... I've been active for 2 years (its an anniversary of that this month), after being inactive for 2... I just missed it. Far too much. *sigh* I don't think anyone can take it away from me now. :)
I always look forward to your uplifting quotes. And I'm needing them this week! We won't get to go to church (we need to keep Brea away from germs) but I will definitely look forward to reading your thoughts tomorrow. You are so awesome!
I look forward to church - it is just the going with the kids part that I don't look forward to. We are still at the age where one of us ends up walking the halls with one or both of the little ones. Lulu won't sit still for more than 10 minutes and then we are doing laps.
We really aren't getting much out of it at this stage in life - but we are teaching the kids. I can't wait to get to the point when I can sit through an entire Sacrament meeting without having to get up 10 times.
Have a great day :)
Jan--I have to tell you how fabulous it was to have you back at church today!!! You could just see how happy you were to be in Primary--it was like a breath of fresh air!
we are bad people and missed today. we were driving home from our little houston trip. we could've maybe left early to make it back in time or looked up a ward in houston we could attend, but we were like, nahhhh. lets just take our time and be really bad and skip:)
Thanks for the uplifting message. I hope that someday I can look forward to Sundays again. Wresting kids isn't really a good "day of rest". I know everyone goes through it, so I'm hoping to endure this phase as I help my children appreciate church.
