Kaitlin calls my parents Tissy(my mom's name is kristy) and my dad Ra Ra. When she was younger she couldn't say grandpa, only ra ra. Now she can say grandpa, but has opted to stick with ra ra. Some of the other grankids call my dad poppop. I agree with Natalie, that is very cute.
I like the different names that you can use, too. We called my grandpa 'Gramps' when we were younger but that was the only unique one. We were just boring people I guess and stuck with the classics. With Aiko, we refer to Grandma *first name* and Grandpa *first name* in an attempt to be as boring as our ancestors. LOL. (my mom keeps referring to herself as Granny which is just weird. I cannot bring myself to do it. LOL). Anyway, I agree with you, nothing wrong with that! :)
That is such a cute clip. My mom always balked at being 'granny' or 'nana'. Well, guess what? She is nana now and she loves it! She's proud of her name. :) It's funny what kids come up with.
Yeah, usually Maya just calls me Gram and I love that. What I really think is that I would like whatever these little ones called me -- as long as they kept calling me!
My parents are Gramma & Grampa, but I think they feel like you, Jan, whatever the kid's want to call them is good as long as they get a little Grandchildren love. Gram is a cute one.
