Flower Power

As I re-read the musings of the past few days, the feelings I've had are clear. I mentioned in one post that I was feeling kind of empty and know now that I need to shore up my spirituality. And I'm working on it. It's really a gift to be able to go back, re-read, and understand something more about myself and what I need to do. A blogging epiphany!

On to more trivial things: check this out. There are a couple of little girls in our ward (my neighbors, actually) who have the cutest scripture covers ever. Natalie did a little research and pointed me towards Deseret Boook, where you can find them. (I could have done it myself -- I am not helpless -- but she beat me to it!) Cute, right? If you look down the list, you will see that there are several really fun choices for little girls. I think Maya needs one -- but I guess first she'd need her own scriptures, right? OK, Grandma, time to get busy! Gotta love online ordering.

Very cute. I bought Hannah scriptures when she turned eight and found a cover I liked pretty good, but those are cute.

We have been talking about buying the girls their own sets of scriptures this year and that case looks perfect! Very very cute.

hey - i say we all need something to get us excited about our scriptures. haha... i'm rotten, but i don't love reading them like i should. maybe every few months i just need to buy myself a new set. then i'd enjoy them a little more. honestly - i'm rotten to the core!

I admit freely and openly that I didn't love the scriptures till I got dragged kicking and screaming into teaching seminary. I grew up with them but it just didn't grab me -- but when I studied to teach a lesson from them every day, that's when it clicked for me. So I hear you, Hayley. Maybe you need to be a seminary teacher! :)

I have to say that I let a few choice words fly in Seminary once or twice -- it's so danged early in the morning that it's hard to make sure your brain moves before your mouth does. My kids loved it I think. Ask Jill -- she might read this!!
